| Brief Note | The pair of pigeons, NL68-1557419 and BELG71-3441120, present a conundrum as in the various authoritative references made to them the sexes are shown differently. Despite fairly extensive enquiry this matter has not yet been finally resolved. I am grateful to Hans & Evert-Jan Eijerkamp for supplying as original and detailed pedigree as they are able which shows NL68-1557419 as a hen I am also very grateful to Vincent Verhoeven of Van de Pol-Verhoeven for supplying a detailed pedigree from his system which shows this bird as a cock. For now the presentation here is taken from that latter source. None of this affects the antecedent history of these birds which is commonly accepted. If at any later stage more authoritative information becomes available which alters what is stated here then corrections will be made. |
